The Collective Family

What can you expect when you first visit a site with a slogan like "The Collective Family would rather have their music heard, not sold"? Well:

*227 Artists
*32 Labels &
*333 Releases
all waiting to be discovered!
For today we picked two bands from their vast catalog, but no doubt there will be more in the future. Stay tuned.

*Presenting: Tinyfolk
*Genres: folk, freak-folk, "post easy listening"

Tinyfolk - Dear Apollo (Bill, 2007) (Dld full album)
Tinyfolk - Owls (Platapeasawallaland a Rainy-Day Owlbum) (Dld full album)

Tinyfolk - Five Years (David Bowie Cover) (Jack's Broth, 2008) (Dld full album)

+ Though not typically a wizard rock band, Tinyfolk do however have two very sweet songs (Wandlight and Before Our
Beards Were Long) concerning the relationship between Dumbledore and Grindelwald, that you can download here.

*Presenting: A Drum and an Open Window
*Genres: breaking bottles behind wawa, folk pop punk, party-posi

A Drum and an open Window - Indianapolis (There Will Be Fields For Us, 2007) (Dld full album)
A Drum and an Open Window - Overcoats (There Will Be Fields For Us, 2007) (Dld full album)

+ Oh and in case you forgot, The Collective Family gave us a great Magnetic Fields tribute album, which you should download if you haven't yet.

I have a two part interview with Russ from Tinyfolk up on my blog at the moment (latest article).

I'm glad you guys discovered CLLCT, all of us there are trying to reach out to everyone we can. It's all about sharing. =D

A Drum And An Open Window should have a new album out in a few days actually, I'm pretty stoked. There Will Be Fields For Us was one of my favorite albums of 2007.
