The Raveonettes save us from seasonal tedium

Having been forced to endure 5 hours of Christmas songs in a Starbucks today (long story), it's good to know there are bands out there translating their own Christmas feeling into songs other than the 20/30 odd 'traditional' songs (or variations thereof, which are always far far worse than the original. I mean ,do we really need a 15 minute free-jazz rendition of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer? A minimal techno Silent Night?) that oppress elevator users and supermarket shoppers around the world on an annual basis.

Having perfected the spirit on The Christmas Song a few years back, The Raveonettes are back again with another Christmas nugget. If you could put an MP3 in a stocking, this would be the perfect gift.

Buy the whole (incredible!!!) ep from Insound.
